Welfare & Benefits Advice

Our advisers can:

  • Support you in understanding the benefits system
  • Check that you are receiving the correct amount of benefits
  • Advise on benefit overpayments
  • Advise on tax credits, overpayments and renewal forms
  • Help you appeal benefit decisions
  • Help with benefit claim forms such as Universal Credit, Disability Living Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance, Personal Independence Payment and Attendance Allowance

Translations

Manningham Project provides a translation service. Marriage and Birth certificates can be translated from Urdu into English. Our experienced advice workers, will be happy to translate the documents. You can bring your documents directly into the reception, you don’t need an appointment, just bring your original documents and leave your details with reception. The certificate must be the original as photo copies cannot be accepted. There is an administration charge of £50 for this service.

Bring proof of income (wage slips, bank statements) and any letters or paperwork about the matter you want to discuss.

Monday 9.00am to 3.00pm and Tuesday to Friday 9.30am to 3.00pm.

Appointments are held in the mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Monday to Friday.

Yes – the toilet is also accessible. There is ramped access for wheelchairs.
